Teachers- please assist your advisory class in accessing the Google form to record their Community Service Hours at least one day this week. Then, facilitate a class discussion explaining this process described above.

Students may go in and record hours from previous school years (9-12). If students have specific questions, please refer to the following information or they may email me at [email protected]. We want all students to earn the Community Service Learning Credit upon graduation. They only need 75 hours cumulatively throughout their high school years. They need to resubmit the form each time they enter a separate community service activity. All Community Service activities in which a school employee was present will count toward these hours. If a student completed the CSL activity with another company or community entity and no school employee was present, please refer them to me. We can submit a form to the school board and ADE for approval.

Community Service Learning Credit Information

Community Service is one of the indicators for our ESSA score. Our students have been doing Community Service Projects for years. It is time that they and we get the credit. I am excited to see how many we will have this year.
