Ashdown Elementary

On behalf of the Ashdown Elementary School (AES) staff, I am happy to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year.  AES is a Kindergarten through 5th-grade campus.  We remain committed to the hard work that our staff will put in to provide our students with a safe learning environment where our students will be successful!  We also fully appreciate our extraordinary parent support. 

One of the key elements of this support is your child’s attendance.  Attendance is critical in order for your child to learn and grow academically as well as socially. We are always working on incentives and rewards for those with low absences, checkouts, and being at school on time.  Our school’s main focus is not only on your child’s learning, but on your child’s safety, as we move forward while following district, state, and federal guidelines to keep our school safe.

The greatest resource we have at AES is the parents/guardians of our students.  Communication is the key factor in building and keeping the bond between the school and parents/guardians.  To keep informed,  you can follow us on our Facebook page (AES Facebook), the District Facebook page (Ashdown Facebook), the AES page on the district website (AES Website), and our One Call Alert System.  Most importantly, register to receive messages through Remind from your child’s teacher. 

At AES, the staff works diligently to see all students succeed.  Each day, students will be given opportunities to demonstrate their strengths through activities that are both engaging and challenging.  Teachers will give guided instruction as students complete these activities to ensure their success. We look forward to a successful school year.
