Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program

Ashdown Elementary School has the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Grant program for SY 2025-2026.

The USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) is a federally funded initiative that provides free fresh fruits and vegetables to elementary school students in participating schools. The program aims to introduce children to a variety of fresh produce, which encourages healthier eating habits. By offering fruits and vegetables during the school day, outside of breakfast and lunch, FFVP gives students the opportunity to enjoy nutritious snacks while building lifelong healthy habits.
