Chriestenson Signs with TC

Ashdown High School Panther softball standout Amanda Chriestenson has signed a letter of intent to play softball next year at Texarkana College under head coach Leslie Messina.

 Chriestenson is a four-year letterman with the Ashdown Panther Softball Team and part of the 2008 State Champion Team.  She was named All-Conference Honorable Mention this year and is an All-Star Nominee for the All-State Seniors Game this summer.  In addition, Chriestenson was All-Conference in both her freshman and junior years, a Junior Classic selection her junior year, and All-Region, All-Area Texarkana Gazette Team, and All-State Honorable Mention her freshman year.

 Chriestenson is also a three-year letterman in volleyball.   She has been coached by Wiley Cunningham, Kathryn  Smith,  Lynze Greathouse, and the late William “Bobo” Bohanon.

 Christenson is the daughter of Roy and Kim Chriestenson of Ashdown and the granddaughter of Cynthia and the late Albert Chriestenson of Texarkana and Kerry and the late R. J. “Shorty” Smith of Ashdown.
