Ashdown High School Purple Pride Band Members, Zach Deaton, Junior, and Sarah Pounds, Sophomore were selected for the All State Concert Band at the Hot Springs Convention Center.  Students from all around the state tried out in their respective regions on prepared music and sight reading music, and a select few qualified to try out for All State Honors.  Zach tried out on a Bari Saxophone and Sarah on Euphonium, February 7^th in Russellville, Arkansas on the campus of Arkansas Tech University. All State Members gathered in Hot Springs February 18-21 to practice together and perform concerts on Saturday, February 21^st.
