 Ashdown Alumni

The Ashdown High School Alumni Dinner is sold out.  330 tickets were sold in two weeks. 

 For alumni who want to come and did not get dinner tickets, you may attend the "Panther Party" from 7 to 10:30 pm at the high school cafeteria.  Paying your alumni association dues ($10) for this year will allow you to attend.  Spouses attending with an alumni will not be charged.  Alumni either paying their dues on or before Oct. 5 or attending the dinner  will be listed as a Charter Members of the Ashdown High School Alumni Association.  Dues can be paid at the "Panther Party" or at the Parent Center at 460 NW Front Street in Ashdown.

L. F. Henderson Intermediate School is picking a Star Student each week
from each homeroom. The students are picked based on having good character

Star Students for September 10 are: Chelsie Stewart, Cody Peacock (Shawnda, Bus) Justin Knighten, and Ty Cobb (Melanie, L.F).   The students were chosen because they showed good character traits such as showing compassion for others, turning in money that was found, and being a great student in class.

 

These are the star students for the week of September 17: Kenya Lewis, Nekhoe Hogan, Charli Tompkins, and Kendrick Wilson. The students are chosen based on exhibiting good character traits such as honesty, respect, and responsibility.

 

Ajhs news

21st Century applications are available in the office.  Applications are due by September 27th.  If they are not in by that date, you will not be able to start the program on October 8th.

 AJHS is having a fundraising contest.  Collect your box tops and Campbell’s soup labels and you could win 20 bonus points.  Each nine weeks the student who brings the most box tops and soup labels in each grade will win 20 bonus points.  Turn them in to your social studies teacher and you could win.

AJHS is organizing a new PTO.  They held their first meeting on September 13th.  Their next meeting will be on October 10th at 4:30.

Night Library is on Monday and Thursdays from 3:30 - 5:30

The theme for AHS 2007 is PARTY LIKE A PANTHER.

“Monday Night Lights” Powder Puff Football will be on Monday, Oct. 1 at about 5:00 p.m.

10-12 grade Quiz Bowl team includes:  Hank Bird, Kami Cole, Tiffany Cole, Hays Enoch, Keli Hamburg (Frances, C.D.) , Morgan McRae (Teri, AJHS),  Abby Rayfield (Quincy, L .F.) , Bailey Teston, Sarah Withem (Lesa, AJHS),  and Sean Withem (Lesa, AJHS).
