The Board of Education of the Ashdown Public Schools held a special called meeting on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Central Office.
Board President Raymond Latson called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. Ricky Ward called the roll. Rosa Bowman, Ricky Ward, Michael Turner, Raymond Latson, Imogene Mize, and Chuck Davis were present. Dorothy Henderson was absent.
Rosa Bowman led the prayer.
Brian Ledford led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mr. Walker made a recommendation to accept the Loss of Credit report for the second semester for the school year 2010-2011 as presented. Chuck Davis made a motion to accept the recommendation. Imogene Mize seconded. Motion carried.
Other Business not Closed
Rosa Bowman and the Handbook Committee will meet at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Central Office.
Ricky Ward made a motion to go into executive session at 6:30 p.m. Michael Turner seconded. Motion carried.
Michael Turner made a motion to return to open session at 8:00 p.m. Chuck Davis seconded. Motion carried.
No action was taken during executive session.
Mr. Walker made a recommendation to accept the resignations for Lori Williams and Denny Cowling effective at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. Chuck Davis made a motion to accept the recommendation. Rosa Bowman seconded. Motion carried.
Mr. Walker made a recommendation to change contract for Stacy Adams from 205 to 215 days. Ricky Ward made a motion to accept the recommendation. Michael Turner seconded. Motion carried.
Imogene Mize made a motion to adjourn at 8:04 p.m. Rosa Bowman seconded. Motion carried.
