It's the good ol' summertime for students in Ashdown and surrounding schools! But before the students were released to enjoy their vacations as they pleased, students and teachers alike celebrated the end of "the tests" and kicked up their heels a little bit.
Kindergarten and first grade students enjoyed MDP Safety Day on May 18, and 2nd-3rd graders exerted lots of energy the same day during CDF Field Day.  Fourth and fifth grade teams at LFH competed in true Olympic style for their annual Olympics Day on May 4, and Ashdown Junior High sixth, seventh, and eighth graders could earn their way to a fun-filled free day on May 18 at Beard's Bluff Overlook on Millwood Lake for good behavior throughout the year.
It is safe to say "a good time was had by all," and a much anticipated summer break is ahead!
