Introduction
The Arkansas Curriculum Frameworks provide standards for student learning and achievement in the areas of Mathematics, Language Arts, and Science, at Grades 4, 8, and 12.
The Arkansas Comprehensive Testing, Assessment and Accountability Program (ACTAAP), a comprehensive system encompassing high academic standards, professional development, student assessment, and accountability for schools and students, has the following purposes:
· To improve student learning and classroom instruction
· To provide public accountability by establishing expected achievement levels and reporting on student achievement
· To provide program evaluation data
· To assist policy makers in decision-making
The Stanford Achievement Test, Ninth Edition (SAT-9) was published by Harcourt Brace in 1995-1996. The Reviewer's Editions outlines specific objectives.
The Stanford Achievement Test Series, Eighth Edition (SAT8) is a collection of standardized tests designed to measure school achievement at each grade.
The SAT8 is published by The Psychological Corporation, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Inc.
The Princeton Review publishes a study guide for the American College Test titled 'Cracking the ACT.' This guide provides objectives and sample tests for the English, Reading and Mathematics sections of the ACT.
